Anna Maria Cova

CovaTech® Pilates® School's Founder & Managing Director

One of the most celebrated name in Pilates world, Anna Maria Cova is the first Italian having created her own original teaching method; she is pioneer in identifying and codifying the therapeutic implications of Pilates and internationally renowned Master Teacher.
She initiates her own training at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan becoming a professional ballet dancer.
Later, she studies Pilates in New York with Romana Kryzanowska, among the direct and favorite J.H. Pilates' students. Back to Italy, she obtains her Physical Therapy degree with a Thesis on the rehabilitative applications of Pilates which marks the very first introduction of Pilates in Italy from a scientific standpoint.
In 1989, she opens her first Pilates Studio in Milan, where she finetunes the CovaTech® Pilates® Method, her own teaching methodology which keeps intact the original set up by Joseph H. Pilates yet enhancing it to the light of the contemporary scientific vision in physical therapy, anatomy, biomechanics and sport sciences.
In 1996, she founds CovaTech® Pilates® School the very first Pilates Training School in Italy. Moreover, she earns the international certification from Pilates Method Alliance becoming P.M. A. Certified Pilates Teacher, plus numerous Masters.

Anna Maria Cova is currently Managing Director of CovaTech® Pilates® School, she sets the teaching programs and guidelines, overseeing the Students' training.
Constantly dedicated to research, innovation and excellence, Anna Maria Cova is the greatest Italian Pilates popularizer too, having published various works as author and curator. At the same time, she has never neglected her direct relationship with Clients, whom she trains with Pilates lessons or with Physical Therapy sessions.

Silvana Lucca

CovaTech® Pilates® School's C.E.O and Education Supervisor

Silvana starts her professional career in Finance, practicing Pilates as a personal interest and being one of the first Anna Maria Cova’s student.
The deep professional esteem and friendship which bind her to Anna, plus a strong personal passion for Pilates boost her to attend the very first Training Course, held by Anna Maria Cova, to become Pilates Teacher.
Silvana ends it brilliantly, becoming CovaTech® Pilates® Teacher and deciding to make Pilates her new profession. That's the way the professional relationship with Anna Maria Cova and the turning point of her career begin. She becomes partner in the CovaTech® Pilates® Studio contributing to the company growth and to the administrative management of the Studio and School.
In parallel, she carries on her technical training path also obtaining the title of CovaTech® Pilates® Teacher Trainer which enables her to train, in turn, new Pilates Teachers according to the CovaTech® Method.
In 2011, she earns the international certification of Pilates Method Alliance becoming P.M.A. Certified Pilates Teacher and adds to her profile the Italian M.C.B. license too.
Silvana Lucca is currently the School's Chief Executive Officer and Education Supervisor, she administers it and coordinates the teaching activity, also having the role of Students' Tutor.

CovaTech® Pilates® Teacher Trainer and CovaTech® Pilates® Teacher

Alessandra starts her career in ballet dance, practicing that discipline for about twenty years.
At the same time, she pursues an education as interpreter and translator, obtaining her Diploma at the "Scuola Superiore per Interpreti e Traduttori" in Milan.
She becomes interested in Pilates, starting to practice it in 1999, following the advice of her dance teacher who, first, introduces her to Anna Maria Cova. She develops a passion for Pilates and, in 2001, she becomes CovaTech® Pilates® Teacher. Later on, she gets her Yogilates, TRX and Odaka Yoga certifications too.
Not only Alessandra loves Pilates technique and benefits, but she is also fond of the deep bond that Pilates creates with Clients and the consequent human enrichment which is a source of great personal and professional reward.

For those reasons, she decides to take another step and, in 2008, she becomes CovaTech® Pilates® Teacher Trainer, the title which enables her to train, in turn, new Pilates Teachers.
Since then, Alessandra, supports Anna Maria Cova and Silvana Lucca in the Students' training and in their period of Teaching Internship at the School headquarters.

Alessandra starts her career in ballet dance, practicing that discipline for about twenty years.

CovaTech® Pilates® Teacher

Margherita starts her education in ballet dance, modern dance and hip hop. She gets her Diploma as "Tersicoreo Lirico Istruttore di Danza" at the Scuola Professionale Italiana di Danza where, at 19, she meets for the first time Anna Maria Cova and takes from her the first Pilates lessons. After obtaining the High School Diploma of Social Services Operator, she starts working as a professional dancer in various productions at Teatro Carcano in Milan and others institutions. In parallel, she dedicates herself to the teaching of modern dance and hip hop.
During her teaching career, she starts being interested again to Pilates, growing a strong interest towards the discipline and its benefits. She decides, at the end, to make Pilates her main job and, remembering their first meeting, she does address Anna Maria Cova to complete her training.
In 2012, she becomes CovaTech® Pilates® Teacher and starts collaborating with CovaTech® Pilates® Studio where she teaches Clients.

Manuela is a former volleyball professional player with a very rich list of triumphs. Among her main titles, we mention the winning of three Italian Championships, three "Coppa Italia" and two Bronze Medals at World Grand Prix.
In 2014, she meets Anna Maria Cova and, little by little, she becomes interested in Pilates, embracing its philosophy and the CovaTech® Method approach and appreciating the enormous benefits for both professional athletes and common people.
With the determination of the great athlete, she decides to make Pilates is new career. She throws herself at the Pilates training program becoming CovaTech® Pilates® Teacher in January 2015.
Since then, she initiates her collaboration with CovaTech® Pilates® Studio where she teaches Clients.

Eleonora Sangallo

Eleonora studies ballet dance since she was 4 and, in 2010, she earns the Diploma as academic ballet dancer at A.I.D.A. the Milan based Association of Academic Ballet Dance Teachers of Teatro alla Scala, at the same time, she completes her university education obtaining a History of the Art Master Degree at "Università degli Studi di Milano".
In 2014, Eleonora becomes interested in CovaTech® Pilates® Method in which she finds the same value of control and concentration of the ballet dance, yet enriched with a greater sense of freedom, both inside and outside.
To Eleonora, Pilates gives a psychophysical wellbeing which she's not be able to do without, and so, she decides to make it her profession and obtains her CovaTech® Pilates® Teacher title in January 2015.
Since 2016, she collaborates with Studio CovaTech® Pilates® teaching Clients.

Chiara initiates her training in ballet dance, modern dance and jazz and, at the same time, she completes her university education graduating in Foreign Languages and Literatures at the "Università Cattolica" in Milan.
She later specializes in Fitness, earning various certification among which: aerobics instructor, FitBoxe Instructor, Spinning, Fitness & Body Building.
She begins teaching modern jazz dance and then fitness, aerobic, aqua-gym, spinning and hydro spinning.
She becomes interested in CovaTech® Pilates® Method in 2016, finding in this methodology a point of contact and an evolution of the various disciplines she practices and teaches, plus a synthesis with unique benefits.
In 2017, she earns the CovaTech® Pilates® Teacher title and initiates her collaboration with Studio CovaTech® Pilates® where she teaches Clients.
